  • SUI ID # (format: XX-XXXXXXX)

  • Current year SUI rate

  • SUI Agent authorization (instructions here.)

 

REGISTERING FOR UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE

If this will be your first time running payroll in Oklahoma, you can register with the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission by visiting their website here and clicking on the link that says Create an Employer Account. 

Once registered, you will receive an Unemployment Account Number (UI) and Unemployment Rate (%) which you will need to enter into Namely Payroll under Company > Tax (UI tax). 

If you've run payroll in Oklahoma previously, you can find your SUTA account number on notices received from the Oklahoma Employment Security Commission, or on your Quarterly Contribution Report.

REGISTERING FOR INCOME TAX WITHHOLDING

New employers in Oklahoma can register with the Oklahoma Tax Commission by visiting the website.Once on the website, look for section titled BusinessesRegister for a Business.  


TIP:

Future-date registration is possible for this state's income tax withholding! 

Once registered, you'll receive a Withholding Tax Account Number (WH) which you will need to enter into Namely Payroll under Company > Tax (WH tax). 

If you've run payroll in Oklahoma previously, you can find your Withholding Account Number on notices received from the Oklahoma Tax Commission. 

 

POWER OF ATTORNEY FORMS

Please note, Namely does not require a Power of Attorney for this state at this time. It is not required to file or remit payments on your behalf. If one is needed to resolve a tax matter, the tax notice team will request one from you at that time.

If a Power of Attorney is requested from you, you should email completed copies of the forms 
namelyPOA@Namely.com with the CID in the subject line for processing. We will update our system and maintain a copy of each form for record-keeping purposes

STATE INCOME WITHHOLDING FORMS

Namely uploads Federal and State W-4 documents to your HRIS site for use during Onboarding, or if you need to send W-4s to employees who need to make withholding adjustments.
 

TIP:

The most up to date W-4 documents can be found in the Namely section of the Document dropdown menu in Onboarding and Manage eSignature

 

Form Name: OK-W-4 

Accepts Fed W-4: See Comments.

Comments: Employers must rely on exemptions claimed by employees on the state Form OK-W-4Employee's Withholding Allowance Certificate, except that employees who filed a federal Form W-4 before March 1, 2018, may continue to use the federal form if no changes are required.

Employers are to use Form OK-W-4 for employees who began employment after Feb. 28, 2018 and for employees who must update the number of allowances they claim. Only if an employee has not filed either the federal W-4 or the OK-W-4 are employers to withhold as if the employee is single with zero allowances.

Employees must decide either to itemize deductions or use the state's standard deduction.
